       @ChrisMayLA6 one of the underlying problems isn't entirely the ONS' problem. It's declining response rates to official surveys. Sure, I agree the ONS are the professionals who need to address that as best they can, but it feels like a bigger issue of trust in institutions, civic duty or something that really lies with national leaders, not technicians here. Or maybe I'm miles off

       @LordWoolamaloo I love that film so much. The best-seller paperback reading peasant in me desperately wishes they would use all these Generative AI to produce a decent colourised version. The more educated part of me (a snob?) knows they were using camera tricks for things like changing the appearance of Ingrid Bergman's eyes that would be lost that way. One of the best films ever.

       @lovelylovely here in the UK, a major retailer has been running an ad featuring a black Mrs. Santa. That has done exactly what you said, some very unpleasant people are very angry about it. I hope in the middle of the anger, a few people managed to feel a bit more represented.
