One of the downsides of everything being controlled by a tiny computer nowadays is that electromechanical control systems are gradually becoming a lost art. Considering how clever some of them could be, I think that's a real shame.

@Azure @digitalfox I'm pretty sure I have seen something else in that series. I just remember one scene, which explained why belt drive power didn't catch on in home, complete with rather evocative cartoon of a baby getting sucked up into the overhead pulleys.

@Azure It's completely static now, but even before when it was all on Wordpress, I had comments turned off. If I have comments on, I have to do Moderation and Spam Filtering, which is stressful.

Had to demo a software feature to 50 people on 15 minutes notice because the person who was supposed to be doing it had to back out. Did astonishingly well despite the short notice.I'm going to be shaking in a corner if anyone needs me.
