Monday marnin'.It snowed over the weekend.I'm gonna make school optional today.Anyone who wants to go, I'll drive 'em.But, I'm not pushin' ta wake anyone up on time.No real reason. The other day,one of my sons came home from school and told me about a box in his school's lunch room.He told me about this amazing box that makes your food hot. He told me, "you just put your food in the box, close the door and make the timer. A light will turn on and the food will start turning around. When the bell dings in a minute, the food is hot and ready".What a cutie. He's seven.We've never had a microwave.He had no idea such a contraption existed.

Did you know that the human tongue is formed at day forty six of gestation? Yeah. The roof of the mouth is formed, separating a gland. The two halfs become the tongue and the.... *drum roll*.....Pineal gland.*ta daaaa*Coincidentally, Buddhist belief suggests the process between death and reincarnation takes forty six days.The tongue.....I used to have my tongue pierced. Maybe eighteen or nineteen. Somewhere there abouts. Anyways,The Christian metal band I was in was starting to gain some traction on the scene. At that point in time, I was the singer/rhythm guitar.One evening, I smoked a joint with the other guitar's sister's boyfriend and I got ta thinkin' 'bout the iron in my blood and how iron's magnetic and how my tongue is a main vein for this magnetic substance and I wondered about the negative effects a piece of metal wedged across that main vein.....So, I took out my tongue ring.When I told the other guitar about my realization, he sat with it for a bit.I made no mention of my epiphany to anyone else, really.Then, after a few days, the other guitar announced "God told him that if we wanted this band to be big, he had to take out his tongue ring and become the singer".I still made no mention of my previous epiphany.See, these dudes were all from born-again evangelical families. We were sponsored by a non-denominational/megachurch wannabe. So, me 'n my parentless stoner ways were dismissed.As you may know if you frequent The Ends Of The Earth, I was eventually kicked outta the band, the other guitar became the singer. They got signed. The made videos. They toured.However, they failed to produce. They went into debt to the record company. They disbanded, declared bankruptcy.Anyways.Yeah, the tongue.ð
