Has anyone practical experience with power banks with integrated solar panels. I like the idea, but suspect that the power output of the panels would not be enough to make such a device useful.:boost_ok:

@Bene @bfdi I don't really care all that much tbh. Governmental agencies need robust, secure and easy to use ways to reach them for all citizens. Mastodon is not a part of that imho. Those accounts are optional information at best and marketing at worst. Mostly a mixture of both.Also, having accounts like the Bundeswehr has been discussed somewhat critically, with some people demanding that their instance defederates from social.bund.de Which i may not support, but can understand.

@bfdiI agree that armed forces are a necessity for a sovereign state. Also, as i said, i don't support calls for defederation. I'm not the person to argue that point with. But i'd wish for some empathy towards those, who see their fediverse bubble as a more private, or at least only semi-public space, and feel that the creation of accounts by agencies and corporations are invasive. If you don't react with a bit of sensitivity towards that, you'll be shut out of more of fedi than you already are

@cryptgoat I‘ll have a look at the rom hacks, thanks 🙂If you like Metroid you might want to have a look at AM2R. It’s a fan remake of the old Metroid 2 for the Gameboy. IMHO much better than the remake that Nintendo released on the 3DS.
