@tante Great article! My only recent experience with #VirtualReality was a 30 second trip in my nephew's #Occulus (30 seaonds was long enough). The graphics quality and general feel of the place made me #nostalgic for the Virtual Reality Experience at the #MallOfAmerica back when that place was still new and exciting (late 1980s).

@lauren This reminds me of some excellent advice I got years ago from a 3M engineer in my army reserve unit. At the time I didn't know anything about computers, but for some reason I still remember it: Use a magic marker to draw a diagonal line across the edges of your computer punch cards so if they fall on the floor it's easier to reassemble them.

@ParadeGrotesque The book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards changed my skill from stick figures to realistic renderings. You might not need the book. The trick is to practice drawing a photo or realistic image from a book which is turned upside-down so it is difficult to recognize what you are drawing. @matthew After support for my Win10 laptop ends, I'll disconnect it from the internet like my Win7 laptop and keep it to refer back to old applications. Then I will be done with #Windows. I laugh at the occasional notification saying support is ending but my laptop can't upgrade to Win11. Their solution: Buy a new computer!I have an Ubuntu laptop I use from time. I look forward to learning about other #Linux versions. Dell won't let me upgrade to the latest version of Ubuntu.

@futurebird I hate mean birds. Earlier this year we saw a pair of beautiful yellow birds we'd never seen before at our feeders, and they nested nearby. Then a crow stole their eggs and we haven't seen the yellow birds since.

@john I'm using the Ubuntu 20.04 that came with my Dell laptop. I've learned enough to type sudo something to install stuff that's not in the built-in Apps.Eventually I plan to learn how to install a better version of linux because Dell won't let me upgrade to the latest version.
