@RicardusThat's absolutely a horrible, alienating business plan. I would never go back to a bar that pulled a bait and switch like that. It's one thing if an entire culture is like that, and you know it going in. But one isolated bar? Wishing them luck with that, lol.

@Are0hI'd never downplay how vital it is for POC to be realistic and intelligently suspicious of white people. And I'm not gonna attach a "but" to this. I don't think all white people are "decent deep down", whatever that means. I do think people have a hell of a lot more potential to be just and loving than they activate or feel in touch with.

@noelleI think any attempt to sign up by the people at InfoWars should be treated as a social attack on what the Fediverse could represent. Because it would be, very quickly. An influx of the people who follow IW would shit this place up so fast. IW is a plague carrier.

I'm gonna second the request to CW Christmas stuff. Especially talk about buying tons of fun gifts, or going home to see awesome family. That's not possible for some people and it hurts like all get-out, and it's everywhere IRL during the holidays. Just a point of consideration.
