@EarlDGray @georgelakoff I think the original post is specifically referencing calling out lies, which “evokes the frame.”

@wjmaggos Why do you say that the Fediverse (or Mastodon specifically) “is about journalism?”

@ebmarquez @nicole I think this is right. I frequently see people talking about the learning curve in #Obsidian, even though vanilla Obsidian is pretty simple.I suspect the issue is plugins: people want to design a workflow system before learning the basics of the app. That’s hard to do when you’re trying to “solve the world” upfront. #DataView is frequently cited here. It’s worth refining your setup (including plugins) in response to problems you actually have while working.

@laamaa Very nice! Love the harmonies in opl omega. The shuffle house feel in after dark makes it a jam for me, and I love the "trance gate" sound in there. talossa II is huge and probably my favorite, but it's hard to pick one! The controversy lead has a great dynamic "this is chiptune" sound to it that I like a lot, too.I wonder how using a tracker influences the composition process–do you have any thoughts on that? I'd love to explore this space someday. Thanks for sharing! 🎵

@straphanger I would give anything to have these in my neighborhood, where vehicles specifically modified to be *louder* frequently drive around in the early hours of the morning.I know that it’s impossible for me to kill people with my mind because I’ve tried. 😆

@keirFox Ten years ago we had free services popping up every day; you'd sign up for them because, why not? Free storage! Redundancy!Today, I think it's crucial to take a look at every account you have, what data it holds, and decide if you can live without it. Close the account if so.It is unreasonable to trust that a company will safely and responsibly handle your data by default. You must assume they will sell it, mine it, or lose it.
