I think I'm grieving. Not the loss of Twitter, but the loss of hope I had that all the covid smart people on there could make a difference. First it was the grief of realising most people care more about restaurants, pubs and cafes than the health of their own children. Now it's realising most of the people who do care are happily continuing to support Fascist Central (Twitter/X).

Maybe my new answer if anyone ever asks why I wear an N95 everywhere will be "because I'd rather wear a mask than fork out $1114.84 for paxlovid multiple times a year." Yeah... I'm not convinced living a long life will be much fun either due to climate change, yet I still suspect I'd pay for a private script for antivirals if I got covid because I see it as insurance against ending up with a disability due to covid. #covid19 1/2

I keep thinking the same thing on repeat. We need to know if most of the people with long covid in that WA study had the AZ vaccine like many of us suspect. Same with the NSW people who died despite being vaxed (back when they still shared the data last year). If that was confirmed, I'd go to the dentist. #covid19 #covid

I hate to sulk. But putting at least 20 hours into a podcast episode that's basically a pep talk for anyone accused of being "anxious" about covid, and having nobody listen to it 11 hours after sharing it here and on Bluesky is extremely demoralising.
