       Oh whow, #duolingo enshittifying at pace now. On top of the ludicrous pronunciation errors (my post yesterday), they interrupt you now with ads for their new top-tier subscription level that includes video calls with an AI avatar. It gets tedious. 🙄Anyone know alternatives, especially for French? (Lingonaut has not been launched yet.)

       @futurebird I love writing cursive regardless of the language. But there's not much opportunity to do it apart from the shopping list. Maybe I should go back to writing letters like I did until the 1990s?

       @futurebird I think I might not know what exactly “cursive” means here. Do you simply mean the handwriting that was taught in primary school until recently, where the letters are all joined up?
