Where is the streaming service series about the life of Hedy Lamarr already. Was once considered the most beautiful woman in the world. Was married to a Nazi arms dealer in lead up to WW2, got out. Helped develop sonar/radar. Use wifi? She helped develop the basic stuff underlying all of it. Her life story is absolutely incredible.

For the folks who haven't been paying attention to the birdsite. dril announced support for blocking all accounts who had purchased a "verified" checkmark. Musk pushed a checkmark to dril's account. dril changed his account display name (that drops the checkmark). Musk put it back, dril changed his name again. This went on for a couple hours. This is *incredible*. Lawyers used ChatGPT to look up citations. Filed it with the court. Problem is that ChatGPT made up the citations. The opposing counsel said to the judge "uh these don't exist", judge said "wtf" so the lawyers used ChatGPT to *create the cited opinions*. No you're not going to be able to get anywhere from a LLM to scifi level AI. The examples at the start of AI had "someone schedules a calendar entry talking to their watch". Which is neat and useful, but it definitely is not "AI".

From the tveeder transcript, one of the "experts" is a guy who claimed to be able to use "AI" to figure out mitigations for Covid spread. Did he know anything about public health? He definitely did not. Embarrassed for everyone involved in this production.

@NewtonMark @geordie @daedalus there is definitely shitfuckery going on here, I'm just not sure on the nature of the shitfuckery. FOIing the ATO for this week's shitfuckery might be fun. at least one of the 8 or so people I have dealt with this week lied to me. Possibly one was honest and 6 of the 8 lied to me.

@geordie @NewtonMark @daedalus they started it. I relied on a tax agent that they had licensed as legit in good faith, and it was only a few months ago the TPB deregistered them as crooks. Anyway I'm gonna find a recc for a good tax lawyer from lawyer comrades at work, dump this all on their desk and let them sort it out
