       @pinkheretic @JaniceSelbie this metaphor works in another way too (ofc homophobia isn't the same as a diet but hear me out). people get jealous of people who eat doughnuts. seeing someone eat a doughnut while not allowing yourself to have sweets bc you think you have to, can make you (not you specifically) to resent people who eat doughnuts freely. not to say that the envious people here are gay, but they may resent us for marrying for love or choosing self-expression over conformity.

       @pinkheretic @JaniceSelbie i think some of the hate that conservatives have for trans people is that conservatives are trapped (by themselves and socially) into tight gender boxes. i think they subconsciously resent those who choose living fully over an ill-fitting box. cis people don't fit into those boxes perfectly and i know it causes misery (cis men not being able to express vulnerable emotions. women who were pushed into motherhood reluctantly) and, for the selfish, misery loves company.

       @lowqualityfacts fun fact: my parents took me to see CATS the musical at age 2 and i have been and am obsessed. so i went and saw that movie and had a ball, but do not think they were faithful enough to the original adaptation. Mr. Mistoffelees and Rum Tum Tugger needed to flirt more, and i stand my that.your posts are awesome entertainment, and you would have done my toms more justice than CATS (2019). and i think you would have released the infamous butthole cut we were deprived of.

       reading the hemingway gender book. hemingway is (imo) accurately describing gender dysphoria and gender euphoria in this book and i cannot stop reading The Garden of Eden. it's a page turner. but painfully intimate. its clearly semi-autobiographal. as most of hemingway's work is.
