@RustyCrab @skylarUsed to worry the same, but a lot of folks don't have twitter and Facebook accounts so many people just readily accept if you say you don't have one. Which is good. I hate the idea of social media being one of those things everyone is expected to take part in. Only twitter accounts I ever had were pretty much speedrun to ban accounts when I got bored.

@RustyCrab @skylarOnly time I ever got looked at weird for not having a major social media account was when a supervisor kept trying to get us to make Facebook accounts several years back. I politely told him nah I'm good and when he wouldn't let it go, I bluntly informed him I'd quit first. He let it go thankfully though I did some stinkeye for it.

Typical stuff in the corporate world, along with happy hours, mandatory Christmas parties, pot lucks, and all that other shit. @RustyCrab @skylarExactly. Way I see it, I drink with my friends and loved ones. I don't see how anyone could be comfortable getting drunk with their bosses, coworkers, HR snakes, and such. Maybe I'm just autistic but sounds like a great way to get fucked over. And if we're all just gonna sit around drinking coke with strangers and laughing awkwardly at the bosses jokes to score points, I think I'd rather spend that time playing vidya or looking for another job.

I mean, bare in mind, you go to any apartment building, the management there is going to be playing CBS, NBC, CNN, or FOX on all their TVs in the lobby. Go to places of business with any sort of public TV available and it's the same. I wonder how much of that 15M is an actual person sitting there soaking up MSM propangada and how much is just background noise on some lobby flatscreen.
