@xpil IMHO the hurdle to take is getting some of the Linux desktop environments (so not Linux as an OS, but the software running on desktop Linux) ready for the enterprise market. This also includes different levels of config management (user settings, user defaults, system wide managed settings, etc.) and toolchains for easily supporting large environments of machines running Linux on users' desks.

@rudolf Using #Telegram, but: shifting from one monopolist provider to yet another is not an improvement. I could have chimed in if people had started changing over to #Matrix, #XMPP, or any other federated IM service/network.

My #FP4 (#Fairphone 4) is driven by #UbuntuTouch now. The performance is very smooth and basically everything works out-of-the-box (except from flashing the device). Well done everyone. Let's get the new hardware port upstreamed/released in the #UBportsInstaller.

Celebration time: All #Lomiri packages we need for #Debian 12 have landed in Debian unstable. Now we'll need to make sure that all pkgs migrate to Debian testing. Then comes the fine-polishing and then Debian will have a new Operating Environment highly suitable for touch based devices such as tablets and phones. Cudos to all the developers and contributors over at the #UBports Foundation.
