@jz Chiche! Moi aussi! Mais peut-être faut-il prevoir de payer pour des "mise à jour"? Ces normes sont-elles immuables? Versionnées sans doute?

@fatboy Classical denial of service psyop. If it's possible to delete private data, they have to do it, by law, whatever the cost. If they have build a system in which it is "impossible" to delete private data, then they are running an illegal business. Note that they use "trace" as an euphemism for "delete.

@troed @denki @echo_pbreyer We do not know for a fact that it is hindering innovation. It's hindering abuse from private companies though.

@troed @denki @echo_pbreyer Wow, reaching for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_authority so soon instead of point me to said research? Which of course I assume would independent and devoid of unknowns and biases and would not conflate innovation with economic indicators.

@troed @denki @echo_pbreyer First this targets OPEN innovation IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR (whatever that means). Second this is a commercial brochure.

@aral Note "around us" implies some subtle independence: 1) we are not the cause, 2) it does not affect us.

@ErikUden On the eve of the 1855 Paris Exposition, Eugène Huzar published "La fin du monde par la science", where he compiled the many worries his contemporaries had about modern industrial practices (building channels, mining coal, burning coal, etc.). One of them reads as follows: "What if turning coal into atmospheric CO2 changed our climate?"https://www.senscritique.com/livre/La_fin_du_monde_par_la_science/205906/details

@rms "I take no political view, am neither Jew nor Arab, have always been driven entirely by patients and have sleepless nights to this day. If I were a politician, I would be hanging my head in shame for not resolving what is so clearly a significant problem. Thank you for highlighting what is, to me, one of the most tragic issues of our time." - Richard Villar

@aral Isn't "blue sky" the other half of the "bird site" logo?
