@r000t The most amazing part is how a convicted former Lizard Squad member got a job anywhere close to this data, tbh.

@itnewsbotI read ”ditch” as literally ”drive you into a ditch”, but it seems the week-kneed patenters are stopping short of bodily harm, the wusses.I’ll file for a better patent here in the EU, where not only can the car deliberately kill you for deliquency, but there’s a model for how the car company can sell your body parts to recover costs.Capitalism must be upheld, after all.

@mjg59 Gives the term ”wardriving” a new _frisson_, no doubt.

@dwarf I’ve been riding these for 2000+ km like this and apart from a slight worry it’s all good. YMMV.

@lowqualityfacts This is true*. Source: I am a swedish guy with four kids*(But you also have to do _exactly_ what the kids tell you. And their mom. And every grandparent, all moms friends, her fave chicmags, the Government in all its guises, all the kids friends (and their copy of this list, recursively), national media, moms socmed memes about parenting, and the Jante Law.So you don’t create a monster that doesn’t has the correct Värdegrund and doesn’t understand viscerally the meaning of ”lagom”. For 18 years.)

@foone Having followed you since forever, I am astonished, pleased but also the smallest bit worried to find out there is one thing in IT that I know something of, that you do not already excel and shine at. I will nevertheless enjoy these hours until you’ve read the manual.

So, in the process of leaving #Windows everywhere, the #gaming part was most challenging. I’m currently running #WoW, #EldenRing, #Starfield and #MechWarrior5.I managed to brick one Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, and had to give up on the sweet PS5 DualSense Edge, but finally got all my favorite games running under #Steam on #Debian 12. My current controller is a tethered PS3, since my BT is jammed to crap by neighbours IoT mesh. #Modding, as opposed to running the vanilla Steam installs, evokes the Ford Fairlane quote: ”Like masturbating with a cheese grate - somewhat amusing, but mostly painful.”It’s been a ride, with plenty of CLI stuff and NVIDIA kernel module shenanigans. #Linuxgaming is nice, but it’s still not easy.
