@Chinchillazilla when I was a pubescent middle school lad in a new school, there were these two eighth-grade girls who like smelled the social anxiety & religious upbringing on me & would spend the entire class we had together asking me (what I thought at the time) were v lewd questions, to which I would refuse to respond. P sure that was just bullying tho; I was a prude with bad hygiene.

@johnrandom I feel you my friend and I have been/am still there, but if there are two hallmark-ass cliches that have helped me and proven true, its that it's never too late and it never gets easier. Also, you don't have to like burn down your life to start down a new path. It is hard to change, it is hard to act. But you don't have to be a phoenix; you can be a tree.

So I've seen trans ppl on here ask that cis ppl identify as such in their profile; I've also seen trans ppl ask the opposite: don't put cis in your profile. I've also seen some discourse about cishet ppl using "partner" for their significant other. It either helps normalize ungendered language or its performative wokeness. Is there a consensus going, at least on mastodon?(ps if you're cishet your opinion does not matter on this question)
