@kemonine @FerdiZ I found Evernote > Onenote to be pretty painless. However, I'm now looking at moving everything to a self-hosted solution, and this is one thing I was looking at, along with LibreOffice Online/Collabra CODE.Which is going to be a pain, as exporting everything from Onenote is apparently pretty much impossible, and copy-pasting everything will take forever.

@kemonineIt has potential, but there are a few things that could potentially stop me moving over from Onenote.1) The Android app doesn't do bulleted or numbered lists.2) The desktop (Linux/Windows) won't import numbered list as lists - I'm having to do it manually, made more difficult by #3...3) Line breaks are imported as double line breaks which makes #2 3 times more difficult.4) On importing to Nextcloud, notebooks and sub-notebooks are given a UID, (cont)

@kemonine (cont) rather than the name used in the desktop/mobile apps.Don't get me wrong, it's a great piece of code, and I like it, but it's default setup isn't quite meshing with my work flow, and I can't figure out how to change things.Having said that, I'm using it today rather than Onenote... ;)

@mimorinka @orekix oh, I know this one so well - over the last week or so I've tried 5 diilfferent ways of setting a Pleroma instance up, all of which have failed due to poorly written documentation that don't mention half the dependencies.Conversely, I set up a Masto instance, and the only head scratching moment came right at the end, with an ambiguous statement about sending 3 instructions 3 times...

@kemonine I snagged one this morning - going to be doing stuff with it over the next few days.

@kemonine I was considering it, but can't see any way to upload a custom image - although I may be being a bit dim here, suffering from the Lurgi as I am.Planning on doing something with my RasPi in a few weeks, though

@kemonine I assume that will work on Ubuntu? For some reason, it won't let me install Debian on any of the Arm builds..

@kemonine There was the whole thing a while back about ditching FB/Insta/Twitter/G+, which was great if you didn't need a presence on any/all of those services for work/hobbies/family/friends.The hardcore evangelism behind it never appealed to me then, and it doesn't appeal to me now. I've massively cut back on those services for personal use, but still use them for various projects, because that's where I get most visibility.

@kemonineI've replaced GDrive/GDocs with NextCloud/Libre Office, and Onenote with QOwnNotes, and Gmail has largely been replaced by mail through personal domains (although I'm looking at a possible Proton Mail account for personal backup) and I haven't looked back - while I prefer the Fediverse, most of the audience for my projects is on the big 3, so that's where I'm maintaining a minor presence.

@kemonine I have an original Chromecast, and it is pretty much useless these days - dropped connections, random reboots, apps losing sync with my phone - I recently replaced it with a Roku Player, and the only thing I miss is the screen saver with photos selected from my Google Photos. In fact, we've still got it plugged in just for that, it's loaded with photos of my daughter, and we can spend hours watching it!

@kemonine I got the Roku for Prime - Chromecast wouldn't work with Prime Video, and the Roku was a damn sight cheaper than a Fire TV stick.Suddenly finding that everything else worked a lot better than the old Chromecast was an added bonus.

@kemonine Hell, I remember running Mega Drive (Genesis) and SNES games in an emulator on my XDA Mini, back in what, 2004!

Today is an important anniversary for me - here is a fairly long, but horribly honest piece about why.A lot of people didn't feel they could support me in this, in some cases pushing me to go against the decision I had made - they have been surgically excised from my life. Many others have given me their full support - to those people, thank you from the bottom of my heart, you will never know what it means to have you accept me as I am now, rather than as I was then.https://stuartbutterworth.co.uk/~/AdventuresInTheWeirdZone/sobriety-the-twelth-anniversary-waltz

@freemoYeah, about that.Several years ago, one of your users started hurling abuse at one of my contacts, on one-of my toots, purely for existing whilst trans. When I complained, the response I got was, to paraphrase, "well, they are right!"My instance admin complained, and my account and the instance got dogpiled by qoto users.Hence, block.I thought I had you blocked on here as well, or would that be because someone boosted you?
