@tedu Is this normal? Or might it have to do with something in the way I set things up? (Social.webdragon.mywire.org redirects to webdragon.mywire.org:18492. I use redirect.pizza for that.)

It can not only be helpful for visual impaired people, but also for #autistic folks who sometimes find the context helpful, and for anyone with a low bandwith connection or strict dataplan who doesn't want to load the images. Or for people who don't want to use a GUI for mastodon and prefer a terminal client.Some instances offer automatic #OCR which can help grab any text in your image, though proofreading is still important. You can also follow @PleaseCaption to be reminded whenever you post an image without captioning it.And don't worry, a highly detailed description or fancy writing, while always nice, is definitely not required. This is Lucy van Narnia, one of the most helpful plushies.She is a nurse and almost all plushies quite respect her.When I feel anxious, sad or bad in another way, I hug Lucy. This can be really helpful.

:boost_no: I once made a plushy website with information on the plushies and with pictures and more. I made it kinda together with my twin-sister, just using a maybe not so good service that also included free hosting on a subdomain. A "website without coding" service thing...At the start of this year it would not be free anymore, so I made sure there was a complete copy at the Internet Archive and used Archivarix to get it back and self host the site.I am now translating it to English!And I create new pages for that, which are also free of all the garbage in the original pages.Now I am doing the pictures page. This does not only mean translating the alt descriptions, but also improving them.That takes quite some time...I have now had 20 of the 40 pictures...If you already want to see it, you can find the website on port 6719.And if you have really nothing to do you are free to help me by sharing image captions with me for the ones that still have Dutch alt text.

@appsFedilab used to show the time of boosts too, it looks like it does not do that now.Is that true?I liked being able to see the time of boosts...And finally Hometown instances work with FediLab again! :dragon_happy:

#TootFicThe young dragon always loved to emotionally support humans. There were several humans who needed a lot of support compared to others. The small dragon grew quite fond of some of them and they learned that, although humans in general can be horribly nasty, there are enough individuals who are incredibly kindhearted.Some humans became befriended with the dragon, but over time this dragon grew into a large, mature dragon.
