       @birdpoof @StillIRise1963You say somehow as though this was some mystery that humanity must work to resolve. It isn't. It's like gun violence. It's only a problem (amongst wealthy countries) for the US. There are different models to follow, UK, Japan, France, Germany. Some socialist countries, some right wing. Genuine question. Why do Americans accept shit for government when it's killing them.

       @StillIRise1963 @birdpoofI appreciate you probably don't have the time but maybe someone could explain how that works. I know racism makes it worse for target groups, of course it does, that's what racism does but how does it cause antagonism to social medicine.?

       @StillIRise1963Teaching, like nursing and social work in the UK are professions so maligned by popular right wing press and governments, so interfered with by ministers and committees and so undervalued and underpaid that there is a desperate shortage of all in the UK.People want public education, health care and social care but now don't see it as their role to help pay for it. Why would they. They see people earning in hours what they earn in months. Inequality is self perpetuating.
