If public voting works the same scoring as jury voting, then 12 x 38 would mean that a country could get a max of 456* points from the public. Finland got 376. Impressive run. #eurovision* Edit: I forgot the no-self-votes rule, so it's actually 376/444, which is even more impressive.

@xerz Yeah, those are Apple-specific technologies so they wouldn't be portable. Unreal might be viable but they're a bit hamstrung because of the Apple/Epic lawsuit fallout.

One of the reasons I stopped making client apps for corporate platforms is because "filling in the gaps" of someone else's platform usually resolves itself poorly. Either the platform holder fills in the gap, they decide the gap goes against their corporate interests, or the gap is itself meaningless and nobody wants a fix for it.For any young devs out there making a client app for some corpo's API, I strongly recommend not doing that, except for fun projects or things that get you headlines.

What an utterly terrible time for the fediverse to be anti-search. It is impossible to find out what's happening in the #RussiaCoup without having access to a scattered list of journalists and hashtags.Twitter is unequivocally better at this. And as long as there is no search, it always will be. Even Bluesky has a better experience.I love fediverse and Mastodon but no search is such an asinine omission and the niche that demands it would be better served by better protection tools, not this.
