So now we can buy Apple AirPods for the price we used to pay for an iPhone. I find comfort in knowing I&#39;m not the target audience.For that $3500 CAD MacBook Pro though, before tax? I _am_ the target audience. Geeze.

Today I feel I have no patience left for the anti-vax crowd. It’s not about you, it’s about everybody else you cross path with. I don’t give a rat’s ass whether you get COVID and get hospitalized. But news flash, biology 101 says it’s a transmissible disease. And people die. Wake up. All you have to do to save other people’s lives is line up and get a jab in your arm. Boohoo.

Sure there is a time to be concerned about the government telling us what to do, but this is not it. Healthcare professionals are behind this. Because they care and because no society in history has ever been this lucky to have this amount of science looking out for us. They want to save lives. They even want _you_ to live, fancy that.

@matt I ordered something on the 17th for store pickup a couple days later but it said to wait for the pickup email. So I waited. Until the 5th when I learned by calling that the item had been ready the whole time. 😂

@brunoph Agreed. I still use them for all Zoom calls and meetings especially for that reason. AirPods make people sound flat and canny in comparison. I’ve done a lot of searching for call audio samples and done my own recordings, and the wired ones have a presence others so far don’t. Too bad because I’d love to ditch the cable.

I don’t understand why everything I read about Mastodon is compelled to say it’s more complicated than Twitter. You create an account. You post. You follow some people and hashtags. The fact that it’s decentralized and federated adds zero complication to any of that. Are email and phone complicated?
