@vkc I am a guy, and I don't understand the mentality of guys that do this. (Why in the world is it "fun" for them?) I have to, unfortunately, accept the fact that people like this exist and they will be wherever other people are -- until something fundamentally changes, but I don't know what that something is.I'm sorry that women have to experience this.

@gotosocial Is there any way to convert a single-user Mastodon instance into a GoToSocial instance? Like, migrate the database, and use the existing key pair so I could use the same domain name and fediverse handle? I set up my Mastodon before I knew about go to social, and I would love to have a less-resource-intensive instance.

@jackwilliambell @gotosocial Yeah, you can't typically reuse a fediverse handle or domain name because each instance depends on a public/private key pair where other instances know the public key. So you can't just have another instance with the same name but using a different key. I'm proposing removing the Mastodon instance altogether and creating a GoToSocial instance with the same domain and the same key pair.
