@Morbidemoness I didn't realise gender stereotypes were still so strong untill I had my daughter. I went with her to a shop to get bubble liquid and there was only cars bottles or frozen bottles. my daughter didn't know any of them (she was 3 ) she chose the cars one because it was red and it was her favorite color at that time. the man in the shop insisted she CAN'T have it because it's for boys.

@Morbidemoness I just bought the cars bottle anyway and never came back to that shop.the same happened in another shop when my daughter chose the "wrong" umbrella

@Morbidemoness it's so sad that kids are so conformist.my daughter was also made fun of at the same age for wearing "boys shoes "đ now she is almost 9 and sometimes she is wearing boys clothes (I never told her they are boys clothes, because obvioulsy they are not, they are just sold on the boys aisle) and they are not making fun of her for that. I don't think the transkids bullshit is in french schools yet. at least not on primary schools that's for sure. even if there is quite a lot of propaganda on TV.

@You_cat_to_be_kitten_me she has always been wearing sports shoes everyday to school just this pair was especially "boyish" like dark blue with orange stripes something like that. black ones or red ones are not labelled as boys shoes for some reason. đ€·ââïž @Morbidemoness
