Yet another technical interview has confirmed to me that I completely freeze up on even the simplest things when getting interviewed.Next time a job has a technical interview requirement, I'll just save myself the hassle and quit.

Shynet is the best (small, has all the things I care about) self-hosted analytics package I've used so far.https://github.com/milesmcc/shynetGive it a go!@MilesMcCain@twitter.com perhaps think about having a paid-for hosted version? It might bring in some income.

Does anyone else find themselves putting mediocre shows on the second screen while you're doing something else, because you feel that watching good shows demands too much attention? With mediocre content, I'm not worried about missing something crucial.

@AwooI guess it's that they aren't as enjoyable as whatever else we're doing, or we'd watch them.Hopefully it's not that we just can't focus on one thing for 45 minutes 😟

I wanted to start learning LISP so I chose @paultag@twitter.com's Hy, and I'm amazed at how well it works.Since I already know all the Python builtins and libraries, I don't have to spend time on learning those, and can focus instead on learning the language proper.

What's the current standard for symmetric encryption/decryption on the CLI? I remember there's a tool that's more modern than GPG, but forget the name.

What bedside clock do you use? I couldn't find one like I wanted, so I think I'll make my own. Wishlist:* OLED screen for illumination.* Always-on so I can see it in dark.* Light sensor so faint in dark, bright in day.* Weather forecast.* Octagonal so I can lay on side.

I call it the "do not be alarmed" clock. I also want it to have a beeper and LED so it can wake me up by rising light instead of sound.

The biggest challenge of running No Bullshit Games (http://nobsgames.stavros.io/) is that I tell people "If there's in-game currency, or pay-to-win, don't submit it" and get submissions like "There is p2w but isn't necessary to play the game".Come on, people.

Does anyone know what the "request access" feature in @gitlab@twitter.com is for? Why would I add people as developers instead of just having them submit an MR?

My favorite Carl Sagan quote is one where he's answering a child that just asked him a question:“I don’t know the answer. Maybe no one knows. Maybe when you grow up, you’ll be the first to find out.”
