@stux You’ve answered your own question— this is definitely a key point whenever I talk to Bskyers. They don’t like having to understand instances, block lists, or any of the more technical aspects of the fediverse. They just want to talk and make sure everyone can see their stuff.

@stux I agree. But I also think Bsky has a very good approach toward a type of federated discussion and moderation that could act as an overlay with the concept of stackable moderation and followable discussion topics. We kinda have that here with the #threadiverse (Lemmy, Kbin, etc) There’s also a form of portable identity with the PDS system. We saw this with Zot ans Hubzilla earlier; there’s an FEP that should as some of this here. ATProto has some nice stuff in it, I’ll admit.
