@mansr IMHO, receiving SPAM isn't a choice -it's forced on you. Nobody makes us turn on the stereo to listen, and we know stations are funded by commercial advertisements, so, is it SPAM if we go into it knowing?

@stux It's going to take a long time for people from the #twatterverse to realize that #cancelculture won't work here on #mastodon. If they don't like it, block it or mute it - #Mastodon isn't going to enforce their particular moralities or reinforce the walls on their cozy #echochambers. This is where the grown-ups are. Children should revert to the bird-site.

@erosdiscordia I'm uncomfortable with that last sentence. "cis people please boost"... as if you need to remind your allies who aren't LGBTQ+ that people are people, and equality needs to be shared equally.If I posted something similar I'm almost certain you'd have a similar reaction.Let's try to keep a little respect for each other when asking our allies for help.(trans people please boost)

I've come to the #realization that I need more #RAM in my PC.Seriously, when did 32G become "Not enough"?Back in the day I used to do amazing things in 8K of RAM (If I decided to allow page swapping).. now I can't even watch a video, crunch data for #BOINC projects, render CAD drawings into .stls so I can send them to #octoprint to be turned into touchable objects, and admin a PostgreSQL DB all at the same time.Thanks #BillGates!

@mansr Just working on too many projects at once on this PC. I need to get some more ECC DDR3-1333 for this machine in order to be able to manage the workload I'm throwing at it.
