The problem with unrealised gains is that a lot of people out there like farmers who have assets in superannuation – they may be asset rich, but they’re cash poor, and they don’t have the cash flow to pay a tax bill on an annual basis,” he said.“There’s no way in hell we’ll support that, we’ll fight that to the death”.

It will be interesting to see if the wrist and arm injuries that players allege come from switching balls from tournament to tournament continue. My bet is that those injuries are related to modern technique with its heavy rotational force which ends its load at the wrist, particularly the two handed backhand when trying to find angle. There is regime change afoot no matter what is said. The knot for the Iran government is that it spends a lot of internal energy suppressing its people into conformity so continuing that while facing the external pressure we now see will surely cause cracks. The question is how long can it sustain resisting both the clear need for internal reform for its people and the external attacks it now faces?
