       @cy @epoch I think this is something very important: in moving to new platforms we have the opportunity to improve the way we communicate beyond the problems with Twitter.You're right that putting English content warnings do not scale for the reasons you stated: it's impossible to know what people want to avoid, and certain bad-faith actors may just use it to attack people. Community tagging/server-side AI recognition might help improve the user experience

       @cy @epoch Exactly. So many things depend on that trust network, and part of the appeal of Mastodon for me is that it embraces that network. It has downsides, but at least being at the mercy of moderators you don't know or algorithms you didn't write aren't among them.
