Every now and then I come across some old ancient webpage left over from the 1990s full of valuable an interesting information. And I’m like oh I need to save this to the Internet archive and then I check and no one has ever save that page ever before! WTF?! These pages aren’t going to Archive themselves people!

This is the >110 year old 16v transformer that powered the doorbell in my house. It works fine. Pushes out a consistent 16.3v. Had to replace it with a new 24v transformer for my video doorbell. It lasted 14 months and took out the camera with it when it blew.

Web app for tuition payments for kids school only allows one login per account. If the other parent wants access to the account the recommended practice is to SHARE the username and password. What year is this? Blackbaud Tuition Management, I'm looking at you.

People talk about “infosec community”and I’m like ‘it’s not a community it’s an industry’ and then I see.There is an OG who isn’t popular or well known and has made more than his share of powerful enemies. He has fallen on tough times, financially, medically, mentally. And yet there are a bunch of people who barely know him, likely don’t even know his his name, who are concerned enough to step up and reach out and make sure he gets the care he needs. His heart grew 3 sizes that day

Local community college has an opening for a part time cyber security professor. I thought that would be fun, I have some time, I have teaching experience, I meet all the other qualifications, so I send in a resume and CL via their automated web form. AND get auto rejected by the HR bot because I didn’t tic the Masters degree box.
