@clacke @Moon Oh, I thought it was actually originally designed as a school bag? I'm forgetting my kånken-lore!

Is there an accepted generic term for what standards like robots.txt and sitemap.xml are in relation to HTTP(S)? Extension standards? Accessory standards? Companion standards? Sidekick standards?

@brad I am too, but it bothers me that to see next month I can't just run `cal Dec` but need to do `cal Dec 2020`. I wish it just assumed the current year.

@glenda @bortzmeyer I am intrigued by the notion of "digital sobriety"! Is this a commonly used phrase in French tech circles? What, exactly, is it supposed to entail?

@bortzmeyer @glenda Thanks for the quick reply! Glad to see these ideas being more and more widely discussed.

@Moon I also just got native IPv6 at home (didn't even need to do anything special, apparently Vodafone in Germany just hand it out as par for the course). 15 years ago this would have excited the heck out of me, but now that the day has finally come I can't care too much because in that time I've also come to accept that the idea of a decentralised, pro-privacy, non-commercial internet powered by self-owned devices in people's homes is just never going to happen.

@Moon I honestly wonder if it will ever happen now. IPv6 would make it possible for people to connect directly to IoT devices in their home from their phones while on the go, and the IoT industry will put a lot of money into pushingh back against that hard because IMHO almost its entire reason for existing is because as a side-effect of setting up middle man servers to circumvent NAT they get to hoover up monetisable user data.

@Moon I've never been sure what's less likely to strike fear into bad guy's hearts, the name "Stringfellow" or how terribly civilian and non-threatening Airwolf looks compared to any real life attack helicopter. Awesome soundtrack, though.

@kensanata Coffee *and* tea, at the same meal? One after the other, or alternating sips?

@cosullivan I think it's the case of an Acorn RiscPC - look at the second photo at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RiscPC, you can see the same rounded protruding part with holes through it at the rear of the machine. Seems to have been part of some kind of expandable case design, with "pins" used to hold sections together. People are still selling the pins on eBay, see e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Slice-Pins-for-Acorn-RiscPC-Case-expansion-2-slice-/184101658538
