@volpeon Audiophile passive heatsinks. You want the copper one in your amp instead of the *blergh* aluminium one for the most clear, warm sounding music you can get!

@fristi Foot, I get the logic since you can look at your own (or someine elses) feet to visualize, but what makes an inch easier to visualize than a centimeter?

@foone AFAIK many Sierra Wireless LTE modems can also be switched into what's called "DirectIP" mode which will just present a CDC USB Ethernet device to your OS and hand out a WWAN via DHCP. Though I doubt those modems do any weird internal HTTP redirects!

@Suiseiseki @fristi Seems like the latest ThinkPads officially supported are Core 2 Duo with Intel GMA GPU era laptops, T60, X200, T400 etc. (https://www.gnu.org/software/gnuboot/web/docs/hardware/)Out of curiosity, do you know if there is a fork/version/repo of it that supports less ancient ThinkPads? :neocat_think:

XP, I love you, but...Is it *really* more important to install the new SoundBlaster before recognizing the USB mouse and keyboard?

@ricci My guess is that this is just an issue of availability, both in cheap VPS providers that aren't just using Hetzner or OVH in the background /and/ fast, reliable internet at home someone might want to host behind. Then again, I can imagine many just use a low tier VPS as a reverse proxy or to route IPs from, as that's the cheapest way to just get a public, static IPv4 and offer services behind, eben if they're not running on the same VPS.

@CursedSilicon @icedquinn PowerShell is actually incredibly powerful especially but not only because you can basically script around objects from the full, fat .NET framework. If only it's syntax waan't so... Windowsy
