Some more pictures from the hike in Scheyern ☝️BTW I wouldn't return to the Wiesender in town: the woman there was nasty, bigoted plus the coffee was crap. 18.3km hike/walk yesterday (Monday) on "Panoramaweg Ost" in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm. The map says 4hrs 15mins for 16.5kms and 178m elevation but we walked a bit more and uphill (280m elevation) in 4:09 active time, 4:55 total time.This was the last outdoor activity on this Bavarian visit, but there will be more and I can't wait to be back to see friends and family again.More pictures as time permits 👇.#hiking #walking #health #nature #goats #bavaria #germany #photography #amateur

A short, relaxed 4km walk last Friday to get our legs back on home turf. Many "bird heavens", I mean plants bearing colorful berries. Also the neighborhood waterfall was back on (had been diverted for repairs).Love the American Beautyberries (the purple ones). Just looked over the stats from Monday's 18.3km hike/walk ☝️. Quite happy with pace, heart rate, and other aspects. Of course, I could do better.BTW this is my longest walking activity since I started long walks ~2 years ago. However I have had a 18km pure hiking activity, making this 18.3km hike/walk unquestionably less demanding.My goal is to complete a 25km walk, but finding a pleasant setting and enough time (~6 hrs) is hard. Given all the ad block conversation around YouTube, I wonder what it would take for conferences to post their videos to PeerTube or similar video service. I mean they have the content ready to go.Various conferences in a topic could even together start their own instance and share the infrastructure cost.
