I checked out #lbry and found that nearly everything in Trending was cryptocurrency shills, far-right trolls, or irrelevant memes. Doesn't look like I'm the target audience. Maybe I'm missing something.

@kev Yeah, I found the same thing when I was shopping for my son’s PC parts at the end of 2020. Went with onboard video for the time being, sigh.The 2060 RTX, which I bought 2 years ago, wasn’t even top of the line at that time, yet is considerably more expensive now.

I have started a new job as a software architect at a small company. My laptop will be far less restricted, and going forward I’ll hopefully be more active on #fosstodon, #tilde, and the like.As for the job, I couldn’t be happier. Definitely looking like a big step up for my career.
