@stefano a dockerfile or docker-compose yaml might actually represent the better build instructions, inho.

@futurebird as a german, when i read "deportation" i read "concentration camp" and "gas chamber", because these are the contexts this word was used with in school and during conversations about the nazi crimes.there is only one answer: NEVER AGAIN

@mima shared caches aiming for rfc compliance would probably just not cache when they see "private", because the benefits of caching for a single client are marginal and likely the cost of caching is not returned. so for this case, the answer would be no.if, however, you control the reverse proxy (as with #varnishcache and #vcl ), implementing the semantics you give these directives is possible and sensible, and i have done so in the past.

if you meet someone who does not understand the implications of vendor lock in, just tell them they will when they get blackmailed:»However, two days ago, Slack reached out to us and said that if we don’t agree to pay an extra $50k this week and $200k a year, they’ll deactivate our Slack workspace and delete all of our message history.«https://skyfall.dev/posts/slack#vendorlockin #cloud

@gabrielesvelto thank you for this great, informative overview.numerous times, i had asked myself if a reported crash could be caused by a hardware bug, and so far i would think i never saw a real case - possibly due to the software i work on running in more controlled environments.but i would be curious how a crash from a real hardware bug could be classified automatically. do you have pointers to foss tools?
