Hi @textfiles , I imagine this is documented somewhere, but if I want to make a floppy disk image and send it to you (not that I think it's super historically significant, but it might be of interest to someone), how would I go about doing this? I have a USB floppy drive connected to my Windows 10 machine. It's a pair of floppies from 1997 that a friend gave me and I'd like to archive their contents before reusing the diskettes.

@textfiles Well, it was two things, "why waste good floppies" and "if the data is of interest to someone, might as well archive it". You're right, I may not use the floppies soon, but the sooner I archive the data the more chances I have of getting it intact...

@futurebird Thank you for this thread. I am always interested to learn the origin and cultural significance of pretty much anything - holidays, events, idioms, words...I first learned of Kwanzaa when I watched "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" with my kids. I was raised on Sesame Street (it's part of the reason I speak English well even though I'm French Canadian / Québécois) but hadn't seen this particular special before. But it fits that Sesame Street would include it with other holidays.
