@MirceaKitsune mastodon deliberately uses limited search functionality to prevent targeted harassment and mass indexing of content. as an instance admin i have the right to say fuck that noise for my users, and many other instance admins agree with me. instance admins should be the ultimate arbiters of the content they hostarchive tools should be opt in, not opt out, and should not require me to actively work to block them from scraping content.
