@foone As someone with ADVD, I can’t really focus on more than one display and rotating my head few times per minute gives me some sort of anxiety. Due to weak eyesight I can’t see all the displays at once.I use single 32” display (and switching onto 42” soon) and ideally I’d love to have something which cuts it into independent viewports/areas/„virtual monitors” with custom split ratios, etc.Of course I know tiling WMs, but after a decade of using i3 I prefer floating more…

@Lili @mkljczk To swoja droga, ale nie spodziewałem się wiele i tak po tego typu projekcie. Umówmy się, to nie jest KDE gdzie można w ramach tłumaczeń uruchomić moją ulubioną dyskusję pt. „anuluj vs poniechaj” czy „foldery vs katalogi” i będzie to rozważane na poważnie.(tak, były takie wątki na bugzilli czy gdzieś tam)

@mkljczk @Lili Nie pamiętam, bo mnie wtedy nie było. Ale przy temacie „poniechaj” jeszcze są nieszczęsne „dyski lokalne” zamiast „wolumeny”.W ogóle purystów językowych zachęcam do odpalenia sobie AmigaOS 3.x po polsku, miód na oczy. Szczególnie, że pakiet językowy do systemu w "90s był ćwierć-oficjalny, a obecne wersje 3.x (tak, w 2025) go już dostarczają i rozwijają w standardzie.

I don't really know why @IceCubesApp broke the aspect ratio of these screenshots, I uploaded PNGs with correct ratio and it shows like I’m some dumb person running the SNES on widescreen TV.

For reference, I'm knee-deep into this project for like a week of late-nights or more, but only got so far :/I’d plan to have a working DOS binary under FPC then abstract out hardware access from game logic and add some modern renderer. SDL or some FreePascal native thing.Then, if it works, maybe port it to other HW supported by the compiler: Amiga, GBA, PSX, NDS, 3DS, whatever.

Actually, I spent first few days wondering why it’s going crazy with pointer definitions until I found that the default model from TP7 is Large and I need `-WmLarge` and its RTL in FPC as well.I wrote up these details on FPC forums, but people there seem to be only bumping their counters with unrelated stuff instead of understanding the matter. Contrary to Fedi, where I see long threads of precise and detailed expertise which I always like to read ^^

Yeah, so I know where I'll open a bug report soon... :)Anyways - you might ask why I'm so much after that "Mario & Luigi" game. It was very popular in Europe during late 90s and early 00s, especially at schools were it was so easy to distribute (57kb UPX'd, 160kb unpacked) on a single floppy as a single executable. I played it a lot back then, and actually it was my first exposure to the Mario franchise and characters at all.And yes, we played that leaked beta with no menu and broken level 4

@spook When I initially read about „Site Reliability Engineer” title I thought that was a guy who repairs AC, sinks and doors in your office to keep the site reliable. Now I am one. Of course on paper only, in reality I’m doing Go development and team management and business calls and wtf else.Yet I think that cleaning lady who doesn’t have „Kibelsedes” in her job title (yet cleans kibels) brings more value to the humanity than I do. And she doesn’t have daily standups.
