On reflection, what bugs me most about that (now ancient) Apple IPad commercial where the kids asks "What's a computer?" is that it's basically true, just not in the way the ad is suggesting. By way of explanation, allow me to update a recent saying:The cloud is just someone else's phone.

@fribbledomHis reaction seems reasonable. Any code in a project's history is precedent, so he reasonably doesn't want other people seeing this and arguing with him about his having allowed it in the past.And having dealt with integrations to release branches at work, and the overhead of reviews in general, there are significant benefits to always trying to chunk up smaller changes like this into bigger patches.

@yogthosHmm, wonder if the same applies to embedding a YouTube video. Google hasn't been in their crosshairs yet afaik, but any use of another site's resources seems like a potential timebomb.

Just for kicks I've been looking for a combination IDE and emulator for a 6502 based computer for assembly programming/self-education purposes. Doing this with Apple 2 looks.. nontrivial on Mac OS X. So I might just toy with a C64 environment instead..We'll see how long this 6502 flight of fancy lasts. I've really only ever written x86 assembly before, so this will be interesting. (D3D shaders don't really count..)
