Because if it looks like an assault rifle, shoots like an assault rifle, and kills like an assault rifle it is an assault rifle.It’s like saying a drunk driver that killed someone is not a drunk driver because he didn’t reach a certain threshold of alcohol consumed.

       @rolle No, it’s invite only and I’ve not really heard any good things about it. At the rate they are going, I think many will lose interest before it even opens up and move on to something else.

       @cybette @rolle Interesting. At this point in the States, I don’t hear much about it anymore. It seems most people have either stayed on Xitter, migrated to Mastodon, or are spending more time on other platforms they are already on. Anecdotally of course.I was initially curious about Bluesky but after a while I’d heard that it was taking a turn for the worse. Issues with lax or spotty moderation are most of the complaints I’d heard.

       @cybette @rolle I occasionally get interested in Threads. But I always remember it’s run by Facebook. And Facebook is the devil. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest Zuckerberg’s armpits!
