I don't know how to be happy on the fediverse. Just feeling miserable without realising how it was effecting me. I miss how it used to be. But even that might just be me idealising the past because it hasn't felt good for a long time.

Maybe social media was never designed with happiness in mind. I certainly didn't feel happy on twitter for all the years I spent there.

@wowaname It's hard to have a functioning relationship with people you never see in person. It's less intimate... there is less input. It misses out on so much. Social media competes with intimacy/closeness in person because you can only do one at a time.

Tomorrow starts the break I mentioned a few days ago. I'm going to take it. I feel uncomfortable and out of place here right now. I don't like how I've behaved or who I am due to this pain or anything. Whatever it is.

@awg @guizzy That honestly sounds like such a delightful idea. It's a shame I can't share the experience with you... but you'll probably pop to my mind when I take it! It would be nice to get into bird watching.
