@amolith This is on point. When I bitch about the web now versus how it used to be 15-20 years ago, this is what I had in mind. Around 2001, I saw the importance of hosting one's on server, but yes, that can get pricey. (Still worth it in my eyes, though.) I'm not entirely happy with social media and centralized content, but the blockchain IS NOT the solution I want.

@tilvids @peertube My husband has had YouTube Premium for a while (he watches a lot of it) and added me to his account about two years ago. Before that I had stopped using the YouTube app and just watched through my phone's browser. Adblock on Firefox killed almost all the ads.

@Wolven We're trying! The pharmacy cancelled our booster shots because they didn't have the new formula in. We were supposed to get jabbed today. Now we have to reschedule. I was hoping to spread out the covid and flu shots, but the double jab might be happening again. ðŸ˜

@Wolven For sure! It's kind of jarring to be told from the pharmacy they have the new booster, only for them not to have it. A lot of people might not reschedule.
