@bitsmithP. S. I did that on Linux, forgot to mention that.I have modeled and cut a box with dados, rabbets, and grooves too since then. Following the YouTube series and using the lessons to model and build increasingly complex things have helped with both #woodworking and #freeCAD.

The rare blue super moon isn't astronomically significant, the media hype is a bit too much. The moon doesn't care about our arbitrary calendars! But a friend was interested and the weather was nice so we went to look and shoot. Here's the moon looking super at 600 mm.Edit: Added in second photo of what the moon looks like when it's darker and clear of the horizon distortion. This image has the same level of "color", nothing was added or removed.#astronomy #supermoon #darktable

I received the replacement mirror for my Yashica LM this weekend and decided to give all the optics a good cleaning while I had the camera disassembled. The clips that hold the ground glass in place are a pain until they're not and they just snap into place. Glad I was wearing glasses, they sprang up to attack my face, twice!I'm excited to give the camera another spin after getting the film counter working and now with the new mirror and clean optics.#BelieveInFilm #FilmPhotography #Yashica

I need a bit of guix help from you wizards!I can `guix install emacs` and get emacs 29.1I can `guix install emacs@29.1` and get emacs 29.1However, I can't get any other version of emacs, I need to stay on emacs 28.2 but... `guix install emacs@28.2` returns `package version not found for 28.2` (same story for 28.1 and 27.1 which are both tagged releases).What am I doing wrong? @evacide sorry for the necro-reply...For anyone stumbling upon this exchange later not only can you read the reports linked by evacide but if that's too much work, the EFF is a 501(c) non–profit that has strict reporting requirements and if these unsubstantiated claims are credible, one should absolutely publish the scoop. The EFF has powerful detractors and would love to bury them.Support the EFF as they work in public interest instead of engaging in manufactured sanctimonious purity tests!

@brianbilston three years ago I lost my closest friend of 20 years. Everyday when I come across cool things that he'd find interesting my first instinct is to send it his way like we used to.
