I think it'd be really easy to write a Pleroma client for Inferno via Polearm. Then there would be a Nintendo DS client.

Idea: PGP signed messages to power "pseudo registration" with #Litepub servers. Your client maintains your following list, direct messages are done in the stupidest way possible. PGP includes displayname, user@host, and expiration date. Many PGP keyservers are already parts of federated networks. Establish better webs of trust.

Polearm+Pleroma combo is similar to Zeronet, in that all entities in a group retain local backups of text and media. The problem of illegal content being uploaded to these kinds of communication tools is difficult, because "average joes" can easily and unwittingly download or serve illegal content. Even more than "the nazi problem" (Mastodon's selling point), "the pedo problem" will someday be an issue for our community. What to do?

@Gargron This is good. No moderator should ever use shadow banning. It's a weak tactic used by cowards.

@ffs This sounds like trouble! Gaslighting is anti-social.

@kaniini @anna @ben Let the client manage its own filters. If you feel the need to block someone, why should you also have to tell them you blocked them? Blocks should be like mutes.

Does anyone have the link to the 4chan-style frontend (Futaba / Futallaby / Yotsuba / whatever) to Pleroma?

For any future seekers: #APchan is an #imageboard frontend for #Pleroma / #Mastodon and other #Fediverse software. It was developed by @daisuke and can be browsed here: http://atonofcows.x10.mx/apchan.php

And this is a working link to an #APchan thread about itself. http://atonofcows.x10.mx/apchan.php?thread=9lmpPsRiuFZ4gaHqLYLooks pretty cool! Nice work again @daisuke , it's only going uphill from here! One idea I think a lot of people are having currently: let an admin setting it up log it into an account on the server (aka anon@localhost, anonymous@localhost, nobody@localhost, etc) and let people post from the APchan FE via that account 🤔 🤔image.pngimage.png

@satori @kei Sadly neither do hashtags, conversations, nor the direct message inbox. This was one motivation behind Polearm.

Early testers of #Polearm are pleased with it. Next project will be a shop app that rides on top of Pleroma. (Similar to how #Fedichan is a futaba frontend for assumedly #Pleroma) Anyone interested in coding, UI, design, etc? There's huge potential in being able to buy and sell things over #fediverse. Polearm Server is still way off over the horizon, but I am starting to work on board games that users can play with each other over Fediverse via bots. Really wish Pleroma had sticker reacts like Misskey does, cuz sticker reacts are basically the best way to play board games over weird feeds. Fuck learning some weird syntax to talk at a box; just click the shiny buttons, and make your moves just like that.

@jeff @kaniini @fediversespace If you don't block servers that don't block servers that don't block servers with gross trolls on them, you're a Nazi. Did you forget how Mastodon works?

hello friends,If you're into #federation / distributed tech, check out #multichan ! It's a textboard that groups threads under #tags rather than /boards/ . Currently work in progress, but many aspects of its design are influenced by #pleroma ! demo - https://0chan.vipgit - https://bitbucket.org/796f/multichan
