@SpudsRudeEye i dont think theres anything wrong with that, everyone is a little selfish. for the most part, ppl want love bc it benefits them as well, makes em feel happy. if it doesnt make u happy then its fine to not want it i thinkbut thats still romantic right? what about like, casual friendships? close friendships? how abt family?im just curious ofc :p

@SpudsRudeEye im really sorry to hear that. that does suck, i feel like ive been in a similar position before. really, i think its just bad luck. there are a lot of people out there, with enough time youre sure to find someone who gives 100% back.i hope you havent lost hope in finding more fulfilling relationships or anything, tho i understand feeling that way too

@SpudsRudeEye personally i would suggest going out for walks. for starters the exercise is always good and i dont think its ever too late to change up habits or routine. but i also think its just a good, slow approach to maybe having some nice conversations with some new people. nothing crazy, just maybe saying hi to someone walking their dog or something. i think that even if you dont make a new best friend or something, most people are usually pretty sociable and will wanna see you again.

@georgia this whole "muh female brain is hardwired for x" has been discussed at length since forever. it was already written about in "Pink Brain, Blue Brain". not that this guy has read it or ever willwe need to abandon the whole idea that smth is either in the environment or "innate" and instead embrace a systems view of biology
