       Hi, just joined the server. I have an account on the fediverse already at @shadow, but I found the FoundKey software it was running to be a bit too heavy, and I’m hoping I can have a better experience on AkkomaAs for myself? I’m a random guy from India who likes technology, cars, J-pop and manga (not anime - I can never get the patience to watch an episode fully). I use Android and Windows, and I try to support open-source software wherever I can.Also, this server’s “no defederation, only per user blocking” policy is pretty cool tbh

       @kirby @SuperDicq @meso Nope, defederating all subdomains would be *.asbestos.cafe if I’m not mistaken

       @pwm @SuperDicq @meso @kirby Isn’t “subdomain” a pretty common term? Or have I become too programmer

       While I was in Switzerland, I really enjoyed the SBB IC 2000 railcars, the colour scheme of them were great and their interiors felt nice and airy compared to the endless boring rows of seats on other railcars - I really wish we could get trainsets like those where I live, but our railway system sucks overall :blobcatdead:

       @gaige @izaya That’s AMD Ryzen, not Intel. For perspective, Intel is at 13000 series now

       @alu @izaya I feel your pain, I used a dual core i7-7700U back in ‘21 and ‘22. That wasn’t the best of experiences…

       Today I tried downloading a pirated game. I downloaded a fifty gig torrent over 4h, only to be hit with the “CRC checksum does not match” by the installer :blobcatsadlife:

       I’m honestly confused as to how federation with the Threads will be handled (if ever federated in the first place), since the sheer amount of posts will clog up the federated feed and be difficult to moderate

       @quad @SuperDicq There’s no need to be so aggressive about it…I’d actually find it useful tbh because with my mouse the second click isn’t registered half the time
