@freemo here’s the thing. You responded to an article about a man standing up to a bunch of white people excusing another white person’s violent behavior against black people as a fault of their mental health. And you stepped in not to say: that violent individual should have sought therapy for their issue, but to say: the black guy is wrong. Your optics are bad, and if you don’t feel bad about _that_ we’re now in a “physician, heal thyself” situation.

@stux on a serious note: what would be the _best_ way to waste their time? They’ll throw out Musk/Trump reports fairly efficiently, but what if we really wanted to throw sand in the machine?I’ve thought about sending fake addresses or places, but I’m worried about catching innocents up in the fun (we’ve already seen they’re perfectly willing to hassle Native Americans and citizens who don’t seem white enough)

@futurebird it sounds like they are explicitly avoiding the term “boycott” in this instance. They’ve created a page called “The Black Consumer Advisory” urging people to spend their money elsewhere. Might just be a semantic difference, the three companies you’ve listed are there: https://naacp.org/campaigns/black-consumer-advisoryLike others have mentioned I rarely use any of those companies services, but I’ll be sharing it with my friends who do.
