@kelbot @PINE64 So it this a Pine64 design or are you re-badging an existing smartwatch?

In Ruby you can call a parent class’s method from another method in a child:class Parent def foo 1 endendclass Child < Parent def foo 2 end def bar Parent.instance_method( :foo ).bind(self).call - foo # == -1 endend

Tried to design a PCB and utterly failed* Eagle is way too complicated & the free version is too limited.* KiCad is almost as unintuitive as Eagle.* LibrePCB looks powerful & intuitive but I can’t get it to work.* Fritzing is beautifully simple but placement isn't precise.

Hence I’ll probably just hardwire. I’d love a PCB though.

.@james I’m making a custom mechanical keyboard (inspired by technomancy@hi.technomancy.us Atreus) šŸ˜„ It’ll have a laser cut metal plate, 3D printed case, and Bluetooth. Here’s where I’m at with the design:

@james Mmm Fritzing looks lovely, such a well thought through UI. But as every component is at a precise angle and location to line up with the plate it would be a pain. Plus I’m having this bug where it doesn’t respect the precise values I’m typing in https://github.com/fritzing/fritzing-app/issues/3639

I got my keyboard design laser cut in stainless steel (and bead blasted) which came out beautifully. The team at @LaserBoost did an amazing job, packaged it so well, threw in stickers, postcards, and even a free keyring! šŸ’–āš”ļøāŒØļø

Completed my first custom designed handwired keyboard which I call the AtreoidV. Inspired by the Atreus, I changed the bottom stagger to a straight V, used a stainless steel plate eliminating bezel, and added Bluetooth.

@james I did some work on this a while ago. I think they explored refinements but they were too restrictive. I could be wrong, maybe we just need more experience working with them

I’m looking to buy a good ergonomic office chair with headrest. All the top 10s say to buy a Herman Miller / Steelcase / Humanscale for >Ā£1000 or random cheap crap from Amazon. Any actually good brands ~Ā£500? Any experiences with the expensive ones?

I thought I saw Rails add a feature likeĀ after_actionĀ butĀ say after_render — AKA client gets the response and the connection closes, but you can still do some extra processing without blocking (without pushing to Sidekiq). Anyone remember what this is or have I made it up?

@james the only exception is MINASWAN which is technically 8 words anyway
