@notjustbikes That was a great video! As someone who only drives as a hobby and loves small cars (MX5 FOREVA) lots of suvs/trucks pose an annoyance at night - a big truck tailgating and having their lights glaring at my eyes through my rear view mirror is really bad for night vision. That's on top of ah truck drivers who enjoy tailgating small cars. smh.

@lore I ran linux as my main os from 2008-14. I'm not that good with the OS stuff and I always had to use my macbook to sort out the graphic drivers that always broke with every update on the linux machine lol. One day the linux machine totally bricked itself and I just went osx only (gaming at 17fps via bootcamp is pain). 2020 I finally got a windows machine again.I find linux essential for the stuff I do for work. For personal use? Fuck that. I ain't got time to do system admin. I just wanna play games or do my productive stuff. osx or windows for me.

@lore Davinci Resolve has a free version that most people will find perfectly suitable, if not overkill. And it does 1080P iirc.I have Studio, and I use ZERO of the added features.

@lore Quick google says the free version of resolve actually supports 4k export, so unfortunately if you are only on linux, that's too bad. I bought my resolve licenses as a usb dongle years ago, so I get to use all the latest releases. And yeah, I do vfx freelance so license costs are part of the bid.

@thor Ha! I once stayed at a hostel where someone did this. We woke him up several times to get him to stop the alarm, and he only snoozed it.Finally, one of the older folks came over and made it clear that if they didn't shut it off.... We slept well after :)

@thor Anywhere from 20s to 50s. But depends if it's a "party" hostel or if it caters to more of an older audience, the age range will swing more towards either end of the scale.

@thor Its alot more stuff to learn compared to godot or unity though. With godot I have already made 2 proof of concepts just from doing the introduction tutorials, one of which is a vr level. Unity I have many game jams done with it.With unreal I can't even figure out the UI designer XD
