@chris @beardreaux I love that you feel the need to respond with your disapproval of someone else’s post on their Mastodon instance. Just curious, does that approach work for you, generally speaking? Because it’s pretty much a red flag for a douche bag who doesn’t have enough going on in their own life, so they lash out at other people who are enjoying theirs.

At an event yesterday, I sat for a bootblack who had never worked a public event. We hadn't met before, but I wanted to support his first public service experience and I wasn’t disappointed. We had a nice chat about bootblacking, protocols, and philosophy, after which he thanked me for coming out of retirement and creating my website.The need for mentors and elders willing to share their knowledge is so great out there.

Every Friday I keep office hours in East Atlanta Village to provide harm reduction, service referrals, and case management. I always get here a little early, grab my trusty 5-gallon bucket (13 gallon trash bags are a perfect fit) and grabber tool and clean up the area before the day starts.
