@quinta quel che trovo difficile qui su Mastodon è gestire i contatti di modo tale che non mi perda troppi post interessanti senza controllare la mia timeline ogni mezz’ora. Avere un “algoritmo” che propone contenuto potenzialmente interessante ha i suoi vantaggi. Timeline strettamente cronologica ha i suoi problemi (eg time zones).

@pthenq1 @qkslvrwolf @seldo The main issue is that the federation on mastodon kills discoverability and reach. Communities are local by definition. Sure you can follow anybody but finding them is fortuitous (eg somebody you follow reposted them on your timeline) and there is no central way of discovering content. This has its great advantages but it’s not how most people want to experience social networks. So fitting their model to mastodon is hard.
